This courtyard makeover on the Northern Beaches was designed by our in-house landscape design team and the construction was executed by one of our nine teams.
The space is divided into two seating areas, one that functions as an extension of the living area, the other as a relaxed lounge setting. A central boardwalk links the two spaces together, this geometry is broken by a lineal water feature. The white retaining wall anchors the spaces and emphasises the surrounding volume of planting by contrast.
The planting palette is a selection of lush green hues. Waterhousia floribunda
are planted along the boundary to create a dense privacy screen, the luscious dark foliage exaggerating the sense of depth. Pyrus nivalis
were selected for there ephemeral qualities as a direct contrast to the mostly evergreen palette.
