Concept Design
We present the preliminary landscape concept plan to you in a holistic package. A plan is typically supported by materials, planting palettes and elevations which illustrate the key intentions of the landscape design.
Quotation
After the garden landscape design plans are finalised, our internal estimation team will prepare an itemised quote for the proposed scope of works.
Council Submissions
Our design team works with both local council’s and private certifiers to make sure the landscape design and construction process is as seamless as possible.
Construction Documentation
As part of our service we prepare detailed construction drawings including plans, elevations, and sections together with other details and schedules.
Our Design + Construct Model
Most who initiate renovations, new builds or landscaping work are familiar with the process, however, ‘where do I start?’, remains a regular question that comes our way. In order to minimise variations most contractors prefer to work from a plan. This reduces the level of ambiguity throughout the process, whilst ultimately producing a finished product in line with client expectations. Naturally, it makes sense to start with a design.
In the landscape industry this means contacting a landscape designer or landscape architect to take your brief and provide an initial concept plan, which is then tendered out to a few landscape contractors to quote on. A landscape designer or landscape architect who does not then construct the works will usually offer their fees to manage the project once a contractor has been award the project. Hopefully both parties work harmoniously to complete the project on budget and on time while maintaining the attention to detail, communication, and transparency. This is where the difference lies, and why we see a benefit in our combined model of design and construct.
The Design and Construct model allows a client to engage our landscape architects to provide concept plan, whilst our internal estimators can guide the plan to a budget before the last revisions have been made. This same team then consults for you, and an internal team of project managers, landscapers, and hand-picked subcontractors to carry out and manage the project. Our landscape architects and contractors work together to maintain the expected attention to detail, manage budgets and time schedules, as well as overcoming any potential obstacles.
The main feature we love about this model is its accountability. One firm carries out the project from concept to completion giving you one point of call; one company for all communications and complete transparency, to see your project through to the end.
